Midge Workshop

Northern California Waters - Manzanita Lake

We are proud to offer workshops to help our guests hone their angling skills with hands-on and on-the-water training in a friendly atmosphere.

Our workshops are like a fly-fishing mini-camp. Each student will enjoy personalized instruction to reinforce fundamental fly fishing skills and expand your angling knowledge.

These workshops include instruction on rigging and presentation, in a hands-on experience on the water.

Midge Workshop

Knowing the “ins and outs” of the life cycle of the insects, when and where to fish the insects and how to rig the flies to mimic the insects correctly is a huge part of our success.

Many of our guests are amazed that they catch more fish while fishing with us, rather than fishing on their own.

This workshop will teach you all about midge fishing on a lake. We will break everything down for you in an easy-to-understand format with great illustrated rigging diagrams. If you always wanted to learn both shallow-water and deep-water midging then this is the workshop you need to attend.

We frequently use Lance Gray & Company guide services for fishing club outings and presentations. We also call on Lance for disabled veteran group outings. I’ve been in his boat fishing, too. WOWZA! Lance is a perfect blend of expertise, coaching and mentoring, fishing success, and wonderful humor. Time with Lance is well worth it!
