Senyo’s Egg Raider Black/Pink Size 4
The Senyo’s Egg Raider pays tribute to the Egg Sucking Leech. Greg Senyo from the Great Lakes area developed this fly. A great fly I have found in the tailouts on the Feather River. I find slack water downriver from a riffle. I fish this fly on a long 12-foot 3X Fluorocarbon tapered leader. I swing it and then I will strip it back to me. The steelhead usually grabs it at the end of the swing or on the first couple of strips. A great grab!!
I like this fly on the Feather. It represents a leech – but the Feather will have small eels that migrate into the river to feast on the salmon eggs. A great imitation for the eel.
