We use small flies, sizes 18 to 22, which are the norm, and tied on by small 5X and 6X tippets, which makes fishing at Putah challenging. The Putah Creek Tour is a tour that will introduce fly-fishers to this incredible fishery. Access areas, flies, setups, and wading skills will all be shown and discussed. A great piece of water to fish and to tune your nymphing skills.

For a tour fee of $200 per guest, you'll enjoy a comprehensive one-day experience. This fee includes transportation, a delicious creek-side lunch, beverages, and snacks throughout the day. You'll also receive informative handouts, complete with maps, access areas, recommended flies, special setups, and other unique features of the fishery. A complete list of required equipment is included in the confirmation package. Please note that all guests must possess a valid California fishing license and bring their equipment and wading gear (equipment can be provided upon request) and fishery features.
