I love this fly. Norman Maktima crossed all kinds of flies together, such as the Bird’s Nest, hare’s ear and a soft hackle all in one. I fish this fly as my terminal (point fly) on my high stick (Euro) rigs. It is designed to get down. These flies in our store have an oversized tungsten bead with added lead wire on the hook shank. My favorite fly on the McCloud, Pit, Upper Sac, Truckee and Putah Creek.
