Lake Almanor Creek Tour

from $105.00

The Lake Almanor area has more than just the lake. We have six creeks in our area that offer excellent fishing opportunities. Deer Creek, Warren Creek, Gurnsey Creek, North Fork of the Feather River, Butt Creek, and the Hamilton Branch.

Both wild and stocked fish can be found on these creeks. Large fish, 4–6-pound fish, are caught every year in the North Fork of the Feather River, Butt Creek, and Hamilton Branch that come from the lakes to spawn or escape the hot lake water. Access is everywhere, with many of the creeks having campgrounds located on their shores.

Dry fly or nymph fishing is the name of the game on the creeks. We fish these creeks from late June to the end of the season. Caddis, stones, and the October Caddis all live in the creeks.
