Thurman's Beach Leech Peacock Size 6
The Beach Leech is Zack Thurman's brainchild. It just doesn’t work at Pyramid Lake; it works everywhere. I fish these flies at Lake Almanor all the time. They are tied to Zack’s specifications, with J. Fair marabou, Mustad super strong and sharp hook, and tungsten beads. These are a must for any stillwater fly fisher after big fish! Fished on the Lance’s Deepwater Indicator Leader, they are deadly.
The Peacock Beach Leech is a great fly on Lake Almanor and Pyramid Lake for an excellent imitation of the Tui Chubs and Sacramento Perch. I like to fish these flies deep in clear water.
