Thurman's Beach Leech Black Size 6
The Beach Leech is Zack Thurman's brainchild. It just doesn’t work at Pyramid Lake; it works everywhere. I fish these flies at Lake Almanor all the time. They are tied to Zack’s specifications, with J. Fair marabou, Mustad super strong and sharp hook, and tungsten beads. These are a must for any stillwater fly fisher after big fish! Fished on the Lance’s Deepwater Indicator Leader, they are deadly.
The Black Beach Leech is my favorite. It fishes well on dark days, but when fished deep, over fifteen feet deep, it holds its silhouette. I love this fly on dark days on Lake Almanor and Pyramid Lake.
