Hal Janssen developed this fly just for Lake Almanor. I tied up a couple of dozen, and we used them at Almanor this year. They smashed it. Hal fished this on a long monofilament leader with a shooting head. I don’t; I like this guy on an intermediate fly line with a short 5-foot 2X or 3X fluorocarbon tippet leader.
