Brett’s Klamath River Intruder is a fly I found to be productive on the Feather River at first and then found it just as good on the Yuba swinging for both trout and steelhead. Brett Jensen created this fly for the Klamath River, but it fishes well everywhere. I swing this fly on a long 12-foot 3X Fluorocarbon tapered leader.
I swing this fly on all the valley rivers to imitate a sculpin. It swims great, has a great silhouette in the water and is the perfect shade to imitate a fleeing sculpin.
