I fish this fly on my Trout Spey using a floating line with a 9-foot fluorocarbon leader. While fishing this pattern hang on, the fish grab this guy hard!!
The Black Slumpbuster is a fly that I have started to use more and more. I like to fish this fly in deep holes or in long deep drop offs in the Lower Sacramento. Where there is clay in the river, I put this fly on and get it down and dirty. Always produces!
