Introduction to Fly Fishing

The “Introduction to Fly Fishing” workshop is for the beginner wishing to explore the world of fly fishing. The curriculum includes the basic nuts and bolts of fly fishing. The hands on workshop is divided into easy to learn modules. The modules are quick, simple and easy to understand. The curriculum covers rods, reels, fly lines, flies, leaders, knots, casting and wading. The student will be shown how to properly pick out equipment and assemble it. The last portion of this workshop will be angling on a freestone stream.

All equipment is provided including pontoon boats, wading staffs, rods and reels. All class material - leaders, tippet and flies are included. Students need to bring their own wading gear, hats, sunglasses, proper clothing and a willingness to learn. Lunches, beverages and snacks will be provided.

All workshops are taught by one instructor per every four enrolled students...cost is $125 per student for the two day school.

Rods, reels, flies, leaders, and indicators are all inclusive however, wading gear is not.

Riverside lunches, beverages, and snacks are provided

Students may bring there own equipment if they wish. Students must posess a vaild California fishing license.
