The Redwood Steelhead Tour

The Redwood Steelhead Tour

The Redwood Steelhead Tour is a tour of the majestic redwood steelhead rivers – the Eel, the South Fork of the Eel and the Van Duzen. This three-day tour will be centered at Ferndale, Calif., a sleepy coastal town with a charming appearance. Lance has teamed up with Jon Mircetich, owner of River’s Edge Guide Service. Jon is an expert on these fisheries, a great instructor and a true gentlemen (river bum). The tour will cover single- and double-handed rod techniques, access areas, flies, setups, tackle, and of course some guiding secrets. The tour will take place in the heart of winter, so river flows, precipitation and the presence of steelhead will all be left up to Mother Nature. Anglers must be ready for harsh conditions – this tour is for the hardcore winter steelhead angler. The main purpose of the tour is for participants to gain knowledge of the area and to gain confidence on the North Coast in a safe manner
