The Burney Tour

The Burney Tour is the most technical, challenging tour that we conduct. The tour covers Baum Lake (a huge spring creek in reality) to the traditional Hat Creek freestone and finally fishing the underrated spring creek and freestone of Burney Creek. Some anglers consider this water sacred. We will be fishing, studying, and applying traditional techniques interwoven with new techniques and casting styles to help create the perfect presentation. The stillwater section of this tour is especially demanding and only with careful presentation will the angler be successful. This tour will raise the fly fisher's skill level tremendously. What will be learned in this two-day tour is equal to what a normal angler learns in two years on their own. Participating anglers will be fortunate to be fishing in an area that is truly remarkable.

Tour fee is $395 per guest for the two day tour.

Transportation, a creekside lunch, beverages, and snacks during the day. Handouts for the tour will include maps, access areas, flies, special setups, equipment recommended and other special features that pertain to the fisheries. A complete list of all equipment needed is attached to the confirmation package.

Guests must possess a valid California fishing license and need to bring their own equipment and wading gear (equipment can be rented, if needed).
